My interest in sport and physical activity began at an early age but it was only after my time at Reading University did I decide to take that interest further. That led me to complete my master trainer qualification with the Australian Institute of Fitness, and later complete Olympic coach Charles Poliquin’s level 1 certification programme in LA.
Since becoming part of the team here at the Green Health Club, I have relished the opportunity to train a wide variety of people, all with very different needs. My interest and knowledge in all aspects of training has increased and I have used what I have learnt to not only train myself, turning myself from an explosive sprinter to a distance-runner (I completed my first half marathon in March this year), but also to better train my clients. Together, we set realistic, achievable goals that suit THEIR individual needs and lifestyle, and I do my best to ensure that those goals are reached.
I have effectively trained people for weight loss, strength conditioning, sports performance and in more diverse areas such as rehabilitation and special populations (arthritis, hypertension, pre & post-natal etc). I believe that the benefits of Personal Training should be felt not just in the sessions, but outside in every day life as well.
